Reviews | No 5909

The name Mark Levinson stands for high-quality, top-class hi-fi components. Bluetooth headphones No 5909 are the brand's first headphones. In this test you can read what the luxury headphones have to offer apart from ANC.

Mark Levinson hi-fi components quickly cost more than 10,000 euros. In this environment, the Bluetooth headphones No. 5909 seem almost cheap for around 1,000 euros. It's all relative, of course: Comparably equipped headphones from Sony, Bose, JBL and other brands cost barely a third of that. Apple's AirPods Max had significantly raised the price level for Bluetooth headphones at around 600 euros, but they offer innovative 3D audio technology and the typical Apple brand flair. With the No 5909, Mark Levinson “limits himself” to the currently standard equipment with adaptive ANC, ambient mode and app control. But the Americans promise the finest workmanship and of course the ultimate sound.
